Important Note
This site features content going all the way back to 2000. The posts you’ll read reflect my views and writing style at the time. While I have gone back to clean up a few of them, I think it’s important not to sanitise too much. This site is a record of who I am and how I’ve grown. Any blog post written years ago may not reflect who I am today, nor how I would write about the same topic today.

My brother called me about it while I was at Dunkin Donuts, and I figured he was just pulling my leg.
Very, very sad.
The Dark Knight had finished shooting, but still has some work to complete in post (including possibly re-dubbing/ADR work for Ledger — I don’t know anything about it.)
Ledger was currently shooting Terry Gilliam’s next movie, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus He was photographed in costume over the weekend. Obviously, that project would seem as dead as Gilliam’s earlier Don Quixote at this point.
It’s just unbelievable, and very, very depressing. What a senseless waste.
Gilliam’s movie projects seem cursed at this point, don’t they?
It’s been interesting seeing the difference in reactions over here to Ledger’s death as opposed to Steve Irwin’s. Both were shocks, but I think there’s a lot more genuine sadness about Ledger. He was well respected and I think Australians felt he represented them pretty well.
AICN is reporting that his post-production work on TDK was almost done.
TMZ is reporting Ledger died of pneumonia (a la Jim Henson back in the day.)
I guess it’ll be a few days yet before we know what the hell actually happened.
