What do you use in place of the nilla wafers? Or do you actually have nilla wafers?
I’ve specially ordered Nilla Wafers before, but I didn’t bother this time. I used Arnott’s Arno Shortbreads. They’re rectangular instead of round, and they’re not quite as strongly vanilla flavored, but they still worked really well. They sucked up the custard/pudding and went nicely soggy, which is my favorite part of a banana pudding. 🙂
