Sunday Roast

Me: “Nicole Kidman had her baby and they named it Sunday Rose.”
Snook: “Sunday ROAST?!”

Poor kid’s going to get that reaction her whole life.

  1. ROFL!! That was Sandra’s reaction as well. I can’t believe they didn’t think of that. Weird.

  2. I don’t know anyone who uses both the first name and the middle name when they refer to someone? Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me *shrug*

  3. Your Mom didn’t refer to you by both names when you were in trouble? It was always “Kristine Michelle!” whenever I was being naughty. If I heard a mother in the grocery store chastising her kid as “Sunday Roast!” I’d certainly do a double-take…

  4. My mum had a hard time getting my first name right, let alone my first + second, LOL.

  5. I’m sure this has been commented on already, but the first thing I thought of was those lamb roast Tom Cruise commercials from way back…

  6. Cool, just read the article and my suspicions were confirmed that the baby was named after Sunday Reed.

  7. Mmm! Lamb…. Rosemary… Garlic… Roast Potoatoes… *drool*

  8. “Sunday roast” is a thing?

  9. I guess in the US we might say “Sunday dinner.” You know, the big proper family dinner you’d have with a whole roast chicken or something. I think it’s a lot more common in the UK and Australia (or it was in the past 50 years and people just still refer to it that way). We have a Sunday roast maybe a couple times a year, when we can be bothered. You can also often get “Sunday roast” as a meal in a pub, which would be roast chicken, lamb, or beef with all the trimmings. Since these things take a while to prepare, you kinda have to do it on the weekend.

  10. Hehehee, that was hubbyface’s response as well. That is the best name evar. 🙂
