Grab Your Fork lists Sydney’s Top 15 Ramen Restaurants, as ranked by a Japanese restaurants. Of that list, I’ve only been to #5, Ichi Ban Boshi. Must get on that.
Update: Correction! Helen had mistranslated the article. It’s actually Sydney’s top 15 ramen DISHES. The text about each dish has been added to the article.

I love ramen! Ramen Kan (#9) also has a branch in Bondi Junction, the food is SO good.

We go to Ten Sun (renamed to Sun Sun) all the time, its right near us.
Ryo Tei is good too, but always a massive line – more due to the lack of seating than the quality of the ramen.
Komachi used to do a ramen challenge, where if you finished one of the larger bowls it was free, but otherwise you paid $20!
And as one person said, Genki Ramen in Artarmon is good too.
You should see some of the magazines dedicated to ramen we brought back with us from Japan – pages and pages of all these little tiny shops, each with their own specialty.

Komachi is the one in Surry Hills, right? I’ve gone past those photos of previous ramen champions loads of times, and always secretly wanted to try it… 🙂

Oh, and Ramen Tei (opposite Victoria Plaza) in Chatswood. Bonus marks for J-pop concerts being played on the wall-mounted TV. It does, however, share the same kitchen as the Chinese restaurant next door, so authenticity may be doubted, but we thought it was tops.

I would like to point out that the best ramen (in my opinion) from Tokyo Ramen in Hornsby is actually Chilli Beef Ramen, not Negimiso …
