The Knick Killer

This is for my Dad: The Knick Killer. It’s all about how Reggie Miller used to drive the Knicks (and Spike Lee, and the whole city of New York) crazy. We Pacers fans loved it.

  1. What can I say….Reggie was the man.

  2. Over-rated. Clap, clap, clap-clap-clap… 🙂

People tend to forget that the Pacers lost Game 7 after the Spike game, so not much Knick-killing happening, even in Reggie’s signature moment (since eclipsed by T-Mac.)

And, as various commenters pointed out, the real Knicks killers are Michael Jordan, Charles Smith (the ’93 layup fiasco), John Starks (2-18, 0-10 in the 4th, in the 1994 Finals Game 7), and Isiah Thomas (as GM).

Admittedly, Reggie Miller was a great 3-point shooter if the rest of the team set him two or three screens. But even Ray Allen has his number in that department these days.

  3. Haha, I knew Kevin would get sucked in by that. 🙂

And yeah, people pointed out that “Knick Killer” was perhaps a misnomer when it came to Reggie. He did seem to get y’all riled up like no one else though!

My favorite comments were actually about how Cheryl was such a better basketball player than him (compared to her competitors). Scoring 100+ points in a high school game? That’s crazy.

  4. hey I met him once.
