How to make drinking glasses from old wine bottles. I love those, especially the etched designs on the outside. How do I get access to a sand blaster?

You can etch glass with hydrofluoric acid. The result is not quite as “deep” as this, but still looks good. I’m not sure what you need to use as a masking agent.
I also wonder if it would be easier to deal with the sharp rims by fire-polishing with a small blowtorch.

I actually had a kit my senior year of high school that did glass etching. I used it to put a sun and a moon on the corners of my windshield.
