That ultra (no bathrooms, multiple black toenails) sounds absolutely miserable — Ironman seems sane and civilized in comparison. Also can’t side with the “no walking, ever” camp: for 13.1+ I think that slowing down every aid station gives me a better time overall.
I’m with you. There’s no way I’d do any significant distance without taking walk breaks! That’s just masochism.
